[Case Study] Examples of Exposure Prevention Measures for Asbestos-Containing Building Materials
To prevent exposure to asbestos-containing building materials! We propose a maintenance management method that includes regular environmental monitoring.
The amendment of the Asbestos Hazard Prevention Regulations (effective June 1, 2014) has expanded the scope of asbestos-containing building materials listed in Article 10 (Buildings where workers are regularly employed) from only Level 1 materials to include Level 1 and Level 2 materials. Commonly recognized Level 2 materials include insulation materials, but one that is often overlooked is "Calcium Silicate Board Type 2." Our company proposes a maintenance management method that includes regular environmental measurements. Furthermore, in the final assessment, we can prove that there is "no dispersion" using a more accurate scanning electron microscope (SEM-EDX). Additionally, Article 10 of the Asbestos Regulations holds not only regular workers but also temporary workers accountable from the perspective of occupational safety and health and exposure prevention, with penalties and fines established for businesses. 【Case Study】 ■Challenges - Measures to prevent exposure to asbestos-containing building materials ■Solutions - Proposing a maintenance management method that includes regular environmental measurements - Proving "no dispersion" using a scanning electron microscope (SEM-EDX) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
